Does GST affect too much on the Manhattan Fish Market Price??
Bismillah Assalamua’alaikum. 6 days before GST starts in Malaysia, now many campaign and seminars being held to educate customers on how GST works. Even in the restaurant such as The Manhattan Fish Market wants their customers to know how GST does not affect too much on the price. So last Saturday, I was invited by Isaac to attend a food review at The Manhattan Fish Market Nu Sentral. But this is not a regular food review, the marketing team also taught us about the price before GST and after GST being implemented. In this blogpost, There will be calculation, so make sure to stand by your calculator beside you and correct my calculation if I'm wrong. Let me discuss about the price first Before GST Let say you dine with 1 Sharing Platter that cost you RM57.90. Then 10% will be charge from the rm57.90 for service charge= RM5.79 Then 6% will be charge from RM57.90 for Govt Tax = RM3.47 So total price is = RM57.90+RM 5.79 + RM3.47 = RM67.20 ...
