Hello everyone, I know everybody loves to hear music to cheer up your day or even to sing along with your favourite songs for all day long. Local music and radio lovers now can enjoy Malaysia’s very own radio and music streaming service on their smartphones, tablets and PCs on RAKU. RAKU is available in two versions; Free and Premium. All Malaysians can enjoy free RAKU and access millions of international and Malaysia’s best songs, podcasts, and localized content such as comedy, news, sports and traffic updates anytime and anywhere.

 

RAKU Interface

RAKU stands for “Radio Aku” which means “MY OWN RADIO”  there are about millions of songs, videos, listen to more than 20 live radio stations and podcast. You can tunes into their favourite radio stations, listen to home grown artistes, band or celebrities’ playlist. So not only you can listen to Yuna, but also Yuna’s playlist too! In a nod to Malaysians who primarily listen to music and talk shows on their smart devices, the app will features local community updated such as news, traffic a and sports. RAKU sports a  localised interface and is available in Bahasa Melayu, English, Mandarin and Tamil.

Consumers who wish to enjoy more functionality can subscribe to RAKU Premium, RAKU Premium comes with innovative features such as unlimited access to millions of tracks from a vast music catalogue, customized playlists, radio on-demand, and other bespoke add-ons such as being able to download music to their device for listening offline.  With Premium access, they can create their own radio station and playlist and share the personalized playlist with their friends on social media. This is great right, your friends can know all you songs in the playlist and they can share their playlist too! Such a great way to spread the music.

RAKU Premium is available at RM14.90 per month via raku.my and on Android as well as at USD5.99 on the Apple App Store.

There are some local artist who have already have a playlist on RAKU includes Noh Salleh, Tres Empre, Bittersweet, Enterprise, Man Bai, Alleycat, Dasha Loga, and many more including indie band like Paper Plane Pursuit, Pop Shuvit and Bunkface. Loca DJ’s with playlist on the radio streaming services include Ean, Jin and RD from Hitz FM, Haniff and Hani from ERA fm, Jack Lim from MY FM and Aanantha from THR Raaga.
